Introduction

Aims: This course offers comprehensive training to pass the WSET Level 1 exam efficiently. Students will learn the fundamental principles of sensory evaluation, the key attributes of different grape varieties and wine styles, as well as the basics of food and wine pairing. Additionally, evening dinner sessions will be scheduled, where attendees will be able to experience menus that combine specific dishes with wine and other beverages. These dinners will allow students to put their new knowledge into practice while enjoying quality cuisine in a convivial atmosphere. Come away from the course empowered to select and enjoy wine with confidence and understanding.

Awards

Students who successfully pass the WSET exam will obtain the WSET Level 1 Award in Wines. 

Students who achieve a minimum attendance of 75% may apply for “Attendance Certificate in Basic Basic Wine Knowledge.”  Award will be issued within 3 months. 

WSET Exam Structure

  • Closed book examination that consists of 30 multiple choice questions with one mark each.
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Passing Grade: 70%
  • For retaking the examination, the cost is at HK$1600.

Tuition Fee

HK$4,600.
Tuition includes examination fees, wines and 3 dinners.

What is your policy on make up classes?

Make-up classes are allowed but are subject to: prior approval, validity of proof of absence and availability. In addition, make-up classes do not count as attendances.
